Subway Sandwich Ads Mislead Customers, Brooklyn Lawsuit Claims
A class action lawsuit filed in Brooklyn on Monday accuses the company of under-filling its Steak & Cheese sandwiches.
BROOKLYN, NY — A new class action lawsuit filed in Brooklyn this week accuses Subway, the fast-casual sandwich shop, of misleading customers by advertising sandwiches with much more meat per sandwich than they actually serve.
New Yorker Anna Tollison, who filed the consumer protection lawsuit on Monday, said she spent $7.61 on a Steak & Cheese sandwich from a Queens Subway before realizing that Subway's ads misled her.
"Subway uses photographs in its advertisements that make it appear that the Steak & Cheese sandwich contains at least 200% more meat than the actual sandwiches that customers receive," Tollison's claim reads.
