Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso is hosting a holiday tree lighting Thursday evening at 5 p.m. in Brooklyn Borough Hall Plaza.

Joined by Brooklyn Parks commissioner Marty Maher and carolers from Brooklyn's Opera on Tap, the Brooklyn BP invites all 2.5 million of its denizens to gather round the 30-foot tree and spread the season's cheer.
The event is sponsored by National Grid, Uber, Target, Ponce Bank, and Urbanspace, and will also feature other local elected officials as well.
