Brooklyn Weekend Subway Alert: 4, A, C, D, F, M and G Lines Have Service Changes

BROOKLYN, NY — Here are some of the subway changes to watch out for this weekend (and you can get more line-specific information on the MTA's Weekender website):

4 train: Due to ongoing Hurricane Sandy recovery work in the Joralemon tunnel, 4 trains will not run between Brooklyn Bridge station and the Utica Avenue-New Lots Avenue station. The change will last from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

3 line trains will provide service to New Lots Avenue. N, R and 2 trains also provide alternate service options.

A and C trains: Due to ongoing Hurricane Sandy recovery work in the Cranberry tunnel, A and C trains will run on the F line in both directions between W 4th Street and Jay Street-MetroTech. The change will last from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

E and J trains will provide an alternate service option.

D train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Coney Island-bound D trains will not stop at the following stations: 9th Avenue, Fort Hamilton Parkway, 50th Street, 55th Street, 71st Street, 79th Street, 18th Avenue, 20th Avenue, Bay Parkway, 25th Avenue and Bay-50th Street. Norwood-bound D trains will serve the skipped stations.

F train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Coney Island-bound F trains run express from Jay Street-MetroTech station to Church Avenue station, with a stop at 7th Avenue. Jamaica-bound F trains will serve bypassed stations.

M train: From 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, M trains will not run between the Delancey Street-Essex Street station and the Middle Village-Metropolitan Avenue station. J trains and buses will serve affected stations.

G train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, the G train will not stop at the following stations: Bergen Street, Carroll Street, Smith-9th Street, 4th Avenue-9 Street, 7th Avenue, 15th Street-Prospect Park, Fort Hamilton Pkwy and Church Av. Alternate service is provided by the A and F lines.

The J line and the L line have no scheduled work this weekend, and should be running normally.
