Weekend Subway Headache: Service Changes to Impact 4, A and C Lines

Ongoing work will also continue to affect the N and F lines in southern Brooklyn.

BROOKLYN, NY — The following subway service changes are planned this weekend in Brooklyn, courtesy of the MTA:

  • 4 line: Due to ongoing Hurricane Sandy repair work, 4 trains will not run between Manhattan and Brooklyn from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. N, R, 2 and 3 trains will provide alternate service.
  • A and C lines: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, A and C trains will run on the F line in both directions between the W 4th Street station in Manhattan and the Jay Street-MetroTech station in downtown Brooklyn. E and J line trains will provide alternate service.
Impacted stations

Additionally, ongoing work on the F and N lines will continue impacting various stations for the coming months:

  • F line: Until early 2017, Coney Island-bound F trains will skip the following stations: Avenue I, Bay Parkway, Avenue N, Avenue P, Avenue U and Avenue X. Manhattan-bound F trains will make all local stops.
  • N line: Until next spring, Manhattan-bound N trains will skip the following stations: 86th Street, Avenue U, Kings Highway, 20th Avenue, 18th Avenue, New Utrecht Avenue, and Fort Hamilton Parkway. Coney Island-bound N trains will make all local stops.
