Chamber Executive Calls for Support During Black Business Month

As a result of the recent pandemic Black-Owned Business suffered immensely and LIAACC is Calling for Increased Support!

New York, New York - Chamber Executive Calls for Increased Support of Black-Owned Businesses during National Black Business Month. As a result of the recent pandemic and long-standing inequities Black-Owned Businesses suffered immensely and the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc.’s President is calling on Corporations and Consumers to support its campaign.

The campaign is designed to retool, refocus and rebuild black business; as this is a crucial time Black Businesses in America.

One way to support Black Business Development is to support the African American foundation which was established to support the work that is needed to build a solid infrastructure designed to support Black-Owned Businesses. In 2021 the African American Small Business Foundation, Inc. was formed to support the program and activities of the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. The foundation is a 501 c (3) tax-exempt Non-for-Profit organization.

The African American Small Business Foundation launched in NY to provide services to small business owners in New York with a focus on Downstate, New York. Phil Andrews is the President of New York State’s largest African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. and is the Founding President of the African American Small Business Foundation. In addition, Phil Andrews is the Founding President of the 100 Black Men of New York which serves the 14 counties in Downstate, New York.

The Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. looks forward to chronicling the success of small business owners who will be the beneficiaries of our Retool, Refocus, and Rebuild Black Business Campaign in York State.

The Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. serves the four counties of Kings, Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk. LI African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc., a participating organization in the Community Navigator Pilot Program, is funded in part through United States Black Chamber’s grant with the U.S. Small Business Administration.The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) helps Americans start, build, and grow businesses.

One of our goals at the chamber is to do outreach to the communities in our region to provide them compelling information why small business owners should join the chamber, and provide outreach to the community encouraging underserved communities to access small business services.

About: African American Small Business Foundation – The African American Chamber Small Business Foundation, Inc. services the minority community in counties of Downstate, New York.

The 14 counties include New York City, Long Island, and the downstate counties of Duchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester.
