Cops Seek Woman Who Allegedly Stole From East NY Gap, Shoved Employee

The woman allegedly pushed and shoved an employee who tried to stop her from stealing at the door.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — Cops are looking for a woman they say stole children's clothing from The Gap in the East New York area. According to police, the woman put children's clothing inside her shoulder purse and tried to leave the store, and when an employee tried to stop her, she pushed and shoved him and fled.

The incident occurred on Friday, Feb. 3 at around 4:48 p.m. at the store on 528 Gateway Drive.

Cops describe the woman as black, 25 to 35 years old, 5-foot-3-inches and 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweater, camouflaged pants and a dark baseball hat.
