Brooklyn Police-Involved Shooting: Man Dead After Shoot-Out With Officers

A police-involved shooting occurred at 3:50 p.m. at 890 Belmont Ave. in East New York, the NYPD said.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — A man is dead after a shoot-out with police at 890 Belmont Ave. in East New York at 3:50 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, according to multiple reports. The police saw a man with what they thought was a gun, and the man fled from the officers, according to preliminary information from CBS2 Brooklyn. There were shots back and forth, the suspect was struck and no cops were hit, CBS reported. The man was found dead in a building nearby, according to multiple reports.
