East NY Teen Arrested In Connection With Fatal Stabbing

Cops arrested 18-year-old Francisco Nunez in connection with an argument last week that ended in a fatal stabbing.

EAST NEW YORK, BROOKLYN — An East New York teen was arrested on Thursday in connection with the fatal stabbing of 20-year-old Brelin Flores at the intersection of Crescent Street and Belmont Avenue at around 3 p.m. last Friday, cops said.

Eighteen-year-old Francisco Nunez, who lives just two blocks away from where the incident occurred, was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Nunez and Flores were fighting over money when Nunez allegedly stabbed Flores repeatedly in the chest, police sources told the New York Daily News. Emergency responders took Flores to Brookdale hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, cops said.

Flores had moved to Brooklyn just one year ago from the Dominican Republic, family members told the Daily News.
