SBA was created in 1953 as an independent agency of the federal government to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, preserve free competitive enterprise and maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation.

The Long Island African Chamber of Commerce is New York State’s largest African American Chamber of Commerce and the New York District Office of the United States Small Business Champion for 14 Counties in Downstate’ New York which services the areas of New York City, Long Island and the downstate counties of Duchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester.

About: Founding President – African American Small Business Foundation, Inc. – Phil Andrews is the current President of the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (LIAACC) and President-Emeritus of Black Public Relations Society-New York. He is a Past President of a local chapter of 100 Black Men of America, Inc. having served two terms as President. In addition, Mr. Andrews is the Founding President of the 100 Black Men of New York which serves the 14 counties in Downstate, New York.

In 2019 the New York District Office of the United States Small Business Administration named Phil Andrews as its 2019 Small Business Champion for 14 counties in Downstate, New York.
He has been named to City & State Magazine Top 100 Power List on numerous occasions. He has been named to City & State Magazine Top 100 Power List on numerous occasions.
