Elderly Pedestrian Killed by Driver on Atlantic
It was one of two pedestrian fatalities in Brooklyn over the weekend.

COBBLE HILL, BROOKLYN —A 70-year-old pedestrian was killed Sunday night at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Clinton Street, police said.
Shortly before 10 p.m. on June 19, the man, whose name hadn't been released as of Monday morning, was crossing the intersection against the traffic light when he was hit be a vehicle travelling east on Atlantic, according to the NYPD. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene.

The man was taken to Brooklyn Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, police said. No arrests had been made as of Monday morning, and an investigation into the crash was ongoing.
This was one of two pedestrian fatalities in Brooklyn this weekend. A man was also killed Saturday in Brownsville while crossing Linden Boulevard.

According to the city's Vision Zero database, through Feb. 29, six pedestrians had been killed on Brooklyn streets.
