LICH saves lives and is vital to the communities throughout Brooklyn, particularly Red Hook. But billion-dollar real estate development interests have been put before care for Brooklyn patients. Brooklyn needs hospitals, not luxury condos.
NYSNA nurses are leading a movement with doctors, caregivers, patients, faith-based, elected and community leaders, calling on the Department of Health to keep LICH open as a full-service, primary and acute care facility.
