Beatrice Inn Restaurateur Eyes Gowanus for Boutique Hotel

The restaurateur known throughout New York City for opening pre-Graydon Carter Beatrice Inn—a magical nightlife scene even in its own time—is setting his sights on Brooklyn.

Matt Abramcyk is one of three "developers/operators" reportedly working on a boutique hotel named Gowanus Inn & Yard, according to Capital New York.

Abramcyk refused to comment on the project in the article, but there is a memorandum seeking funding from additional investors.

Renderings for the 82-room, four-story, boutique hotel at 645 Union Street, between Third and Fourth Avenues are available as well as additional background information on the partners here.
