Cops Hunt Booze Burglar

Former Caselnova employee caught on tape breaking in to steal tequila and cash from Columbia Street restaurant.

Police are looking for a man they believe broke into a Columbia Street restaurant where he used to work and stole a bottle of tequila and an unspecified amount of cash, officials said.

Johnny Valentin, 50, is suspected of breaking into Caselnova, 215 Columbia St. between Union and Sackett, by removing a window pane and then unlocking the front door on Tuesday, July 9 at 11:04 a.m. 

Valentin is described as Latino, standing about 5-feet-9-inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds.

Anyone with information about this burglary is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
