Fall Festival Planned for Carroll Gardens and Red Hook Communities
The annual Southwest Brooklyn Fall Festival will bring local community groups, artists and businesses to the streets of Carroll Gardens.

CARROLL GARDENS, BROOKLYN — Believe it or not, fall is upon us. And to welcome the season, the Carroll Gardens Association is putting the finishing touches on this year's Southwest Brooklyn Fall Festival.
The outdoor event will take on Saturday, Sep. 10 from noon to 5 p.m. at two locations: on Columbia Street from Degraw Street to Union Street, and on Union Street from Columbia Street to Hicks Street.
Numerous vendors from Red Hook and BoCoCa will be representing their businesses at the festival, such as Aikido of Southwest Brooklyn, Blossom Ice Cream and Cacao Prieto.

Live entertainment, food, activities for children, and artistic presentations will also be on hand, as well as area community groups, including the National Domestic Workers Alliance, the South West Brooklyn Tenant Union, and the Red Hook Playgroup.
And of course, the event's organizer, the CGA, is also a community-based organization working with residents and small businesses to promote what it describes as "equitable development, permanent affordable housing, and community wealth-building policies."
