Free Cookies and Cake Walks at Momofuku Milk Bar Carroll Gardens

Today, Momofuku Milk Bar Carroll Gardens celebrates one year of business at its 360 Smith Street location. To ring in the event, the bakery will be handing out free cookies to the first 500 customers who walk through its doors.

No? Can't make it? Tied up with Easter festivities? Don't fret. There are other opportunities to score complimentary sweets at this quirky bake shop.

Every Sunday, Momofuku Milk Bar hosts three cake walks over the course of the afternoon, "usually between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m." according to a staffer.

How does it work? Five stools are set up in a circle and a round of "what is essentially musical chairs" commences. The person who lands on the lucky seat walks away with a free Momofuku Milk Bar Birthday Cake [pictured above].
