Henry Public Bartender Holds Perp Until Police Arrive

Bartender to the rescue

A bartender ran after a 32-year-old male who tried to flee the restaurant and bar after breaking a window, cops said. On Sept. 24 at 2:20 a.m. the bartender heard breaking glass, and saw a man with his elbow through the front window. He tried to run away, cops said, but was caught and held until police arrived. The man was arrested and charged with criminal mischief.

Man forgets clothes, breaks in

A 37-year-old man tried to pry open a window at Future Green Studios on Third Street, near Bond Street on Sept. 20, causing $100 in damage, cops said. The man told cops he had slept in the office the night before, and left some of his clothes behind, which he was trying to retrieve. The man was arrested and charged with criminal mischief.

Wallet stolen in Carroll Park

A 24-year-old mom with a stroller was robbed in the park near President Street around 10:15 a.m. on Sept. 21, cops said. A witness saw a man grab her wallet from the stroller and run off. The Coach wallet was worth $250, and contained $60 cash, a metrocard and a Connecticut driver's license.

Purse grab at Frankie's 457

A $500 Rebecca Minkoff purse containing a $500 iPhone and $80 cash was stolen off the bar at on Sept. 23 around 11:30 p.m., cops said. The 30-year-old female owner of the bag stepped outside to smoke a cigarette and when she returned the purse was gone.
