James Bond Actor Might Be Moving To Cobble Hill, Reports Say

Daniel Craig and his wife Rachel Weisz might be the mystery buyers of a Strong Place townhouse, the New York Post reported.

COBBLE HILL, NY — James Bond might be moving to the neighborhood. Sources told the New York Post that 007 actor Daniel Craig and his wife are the mystery buyers of a Strong Place brownstone previously owned by a famous author.

Craig and Rachel Weisz reportedly spent $6.75 million on the five-floor townhouse last year through an LLC named On the Rows, according to the Post. The couple bought the home from authors Martin Amis and his wife Isabel Fonseca.

The couple will be decamping from their Soho penthouse to follow the trend of celebrities ditching Manhattan to call Brooklyn home.

Amis and Fonseca originally bought the pad for $2.5 million in 1901 but it was damaged in 2016 after an old chimney caused the home to set fire on New Year's Eve, the Post reported.

The real estate listing said the home got a new roof and "extensive repair" after the fire and "is ready for a contractor to begin finishing the work."
