Last Chance: Vote for Your Favorite Small Business To Win a Grant
The voting period for Chase/Living Social's 'Mission: Small Business' ends at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, June 30. A handful of Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill businesses are very close to qualifying.

Have a friend with a small business? By now you've likely received myriad e-mails, Facebook updates, or other pleas asking you to vote for them to receive a $250,000 grant.Â
The Chase/Living Social 'Mission: Small Business' program, which launched on May 7, will conclude its Voting Period on Saturday, June 30—and the anticipation is as thick as ricotta.

"Imagine the possibilities, new jobs, raises for all our employees, craz-IER benefits, MORE CHEESE...!!!!" wrote the owners of in one recent missive.
If they've received at least 250 votes during the Voting Period, small businesses will qualify for the second round. During that phase, business proposals will be reviewed by a panel of experts using criteria ranging from a feasible growth plan to "energy, enthusiasm, creativity and passion for your business" to determine grant recipients.

As of press time, Smith Street's stinkiest cheese shop had reached 255 votes. But they're not the only local business campaigning for cash.
art center (330 votes),  (256 votes) and Cobble Hill Ballet (215 votes) are all positioned to move forward as well.
In fact, one local online yoga/wellness teacher, Sadie Nardini, who is based out of Luquer Street between Clinton and Henry Street, has bested them all with 407.
But there are still three days left. If you'd like to send another local outlet to the next round, search for them on Mission: Small Business to see if they are participating. Everyone deserves a last fighting chance.
