LICH 'Open for Care' Video Documents Activist Efforts, Inspires Support

Watch this short video by the son of an Intensive Care RN at the struggling Cobble Hill hospital.

It may be on the chopping block after SUNY Downstate voted to shutter Long Island College Hospital doors for the second time earlier this month, but activists want neighbors to know "LICH is still open for care!"

One of the supporters of the beleaguered Cobble Hill hospital, Trudy Wassner, shared this video with Patch, which was produced by the son of an Intensive Care RN.

A collage of photographs captured at various rallies, the faces of Sen. Daniel Squadron, Councilman Brad Lander and many members of the New York State Nurses Association are featured throughout—in board rooms, on sidewalks, in sleet and rain.
