Man Breaks Into Ex-Girlfriend's Apartment, Takes Back Eyeglasses
While the Carroll Gardens resident was away from home, her ex entered through the fire escape.

A Carroll Gardens resident was the victim of a break-in by a former love interest over the weekend, according to police.
On 3rd Street, a woman, 37, returned home on Saturday, March 23, after being away for three days. When she arrived at her door, she found she was unable to enter because the deadbolt was on, police said. This meant that someone was inside and had locked it.
The victim soon learned that her ex-boyfriend had entered her apartment via a window in front that had access to a fire escape, according to police reports. The two individuals quarreled over money while the ex stood in the kitchen above a butcher knife on the table, cops said.
