A 32-year-old male fought off two men that attempted to rob him, even though one of the thieves had a black firearm pointed at him, cops said. The attempted robbery took place on Kane Street by Tompkins Place on June 13 at approximately 10 p.m.

One thief said, "Give us what you got," and instead, the victim grabbed the firearm, sending one thug running. The creep with the gun eventually broke free and also ran. The man tried to chase the thieves, but lost them at Court and Butler streets. Nothing was taken.
