Man Questioned in Triple Shooting

A man is in police custody  in connection with a triple shooting Sunday in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, police said. 

As of 3:30 p.m. Kevon Brown, 30, of Lenox Road, had not been arrested, but was being questioned by the NYPD. 

Hours after Sunday's shooting, police had named Brown as a suspect in the crime, which sent three victims to the hospital one in critical condition. 

It began just before 3:30 p.m. on Lenox Road between Flatbush and Bedford, when a man shot two others, ages 25 and 42.  

Two cops were patrolling on foot nearby. As they came over to the shooter, he fired at them and began to run down the street. The cops were not hit and didn't fire back, police said.  

As the shooter ran down the block he encountered a 24-year-old man. First he threatened the man, then they struggled. Then the shooter fired, grazing this third victim in the neck before running off.  

All three victims were taken to Kings County Hospital. The 25-year-old was shot in the body was was in stable condition Sunday night. The 24-year-old was also in stable condition.  The 42-year-old was hit in the body and the leg and was in critical condition Sunday night, police said.
