Participatory Budgeting is Back in Carroll Gardens: How to Get Involved

Three September meetings will let Carroll Gardens residents pitch ideas for 2016's participatory budgeting process.

Through participatory budgeting, New Yorkers can vote on which local projects should be funded using budget dollars controlled by their City Council representative.

Park Slope is represented by Brad Lander. Nine projects within Lander's district were funded through PB in 2016, including $350,000 for a new teen space at the Carroll Gardens Library and $150,000 for street safety improvements by Carroll Park. (The complete list of 2016 winners is available online.)
