Red Hook Community Farm Broken Into Twice
The Red Hook Added Value farm at 580 Columbia St. was broken into on the weekend of July 10 -12 and again on July 16, cops said. The first time, the thief or thieves entered through a locked fence, broke into a trailer and stole $700 and various gardening tools, including pruning shears.

The second time, the thief or thieves weren't so lucky. They cut through a fence, and also cut locks on a trailer and two storage containers, causing damage, but took nothing.

Bike goes missingÂ
A 51-year-old female came home from work on July 19 and found her bike and two bike locks missing from the second floor hallway of her Degraw Street apartment, cops said. The silver mountain bike was worth $100 and the two locks were worth $100.

Large amount of cash taken from bedroom closet
A 72-year-old President Street woman put $1,200 in a bank envelope and put in her bedroom closet for safekeeping. She then went to the other end of her house, and when she went back for the envelope, it was missing, cops said. A witness said there was a construction crew at work in the apartment building, located near Hoyt Street.

Rental car broken into, Apple gear stolen
A 26-year-old female parked her white, 2011 Dodge Charger Avis Rental Car in a parking lot on Pacific Street, near Clinton Street, on July 22 at 11 p.m. When she returned for it the following morning, the rear passenger window had been broken and items below the driver's seat removed, cops said. The thief or thieves took $150, an Apple iPad wirth $600, an iPhone wirth $400 and Prada sunglasses worth $200.Â

Purse snatch at McDonald's
In what seems to be a moment of forgetfulness, a 26-year-old female left the Hamilton Avenue McDonald's without her purse, cops said. On July 23 around 3:30 p.m., the woman got up to throw her trash away, and left, leaving her purse on the back of her chair. When she got home, she realized she didn't have her purse, and called police.
The woman lost a Coogi bag, a debit card, her vehicle registration and title, and her driver's license, Dolce & Gabbana prescription sunglasses, a Cuban link handmade bracelet worth $1,200 and a Guess wallet worth $100.
