VIDEO: Gowanus Bridal Expo Brings Glamour To Canal

Brooklyn Based's Fourth Annual 'Wedding Crashers' event attracted more than 50 wedding vendors and hundreds of couples to The Green Building this weekend.

Engaged couples, Brooklyn brides, their 'maids' and other curious party planners crowded inside of the Brooklyn Based Wedding Crashers expo on Sunday to sample bespoke ice cream sandwiches, mini grilled cheese bites, borough-made brews and other treats deserving of a bustle and train.

"This is so much fun!" said one event-goer to a friend, in between sipping a cup of beer and digging into a pulled-chicken slider.

"I know," agreed the girl. "If I'm not engaged by next year, I am going to freak out."

The Brooklyn Based bridal showcase was split between two four-hour sessions at The Green Building and The Bell House. At the former, various bridal accessory businesses, such as Chromatic Gallerie, a haute shoe designer, shared the floor with local food vendors like Nine Cakes, Red Hook Lobster Pound and Fig & Pig Catering Company.

Meanwhile, the latter venue hosted a series of wedding bands, such as The Loyales, which played shortened sets to show off their various styles.
