Vote: Dog Days of Summer Photo Contest

Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill are filled with four-legged pals. But whose pooch is the fairest of them all? 

We asked readers to submit photos via e-mail of man's best friend mugging for the camera and now it's time for neighbors to weigh in on the 16 contenders!

From Saturday, July 28 through Wednesday, August 1 at 5 p.m. cast your vote for the cutest dog photo.

How? It's easy: Look for the number in the upper right corner of the dog's photo in the gallery and write it (with a compliment for fido, if you so desire) in the comments section below.

First, second and third place winners with the most number of votes at the end of the voting period will receive pet-friendly prizes from  to be announced Friday, August 3. Plus, unlimited wagging rights. For the official contest rules and regulations, .

Note: You may only cast one vote per reader (we have ways of tracking this). No additional photos may be uploaded to the gallery during the voting period for belated consideration (we have ways of tracking this as well and they will be removed).
