Workshop: Choose The Right Legal Structure For Your Business

As part of the Entrepreneur Assistance Program, Carroll Gardens Association is offering a free workshop entitled: "Choose the Right Legal Structure for Your Business" on Wednesday, Feb. 27th, 2013, 6:00 - 7 30 p.m.

Carroll Gardens Association Board Member Jim Grimaldi, a tax attorney and CPA, will deliver the workshop. Grimaldi will discuss the different types of business entities - sole proprietorship, partnerships, LLC, corporation (C and S corporations), cooperatives, and their advantages and disadvantages.

If you are starting a business, choosing the type of legal structure is a decision that will have the biggest impact on your taxes, the amount of paperwork you are required to do, the personal liability you face and your ability to raise money.
