This event celebrates the music of the quintessential American singer, songwriter and activist Woody Guthrie. Did you know he wrote over 3,000 songs? We will hear only a small sampling of them, but we may hear the next folk icon! Join us in welcoming Robert Bruey, Dave Christian, Hombre Mike, Martini Garden, Dave Grube, and Debralynne.
Robert Bruey is a singer/songwriter whose unique fingerstyle guitar playing and distinctive voice take listeners on poetic journeys through the events of life and love. The lyrics of his original works create images not unlike impressionist paintings, moving through the notes he carefully chooses to illustrate the words. His concerts are moving and intimate, drawing the listener in as he weaves intricate tales.
Dave Christian, singer-songwriter and musician, has been composing and performing music for more than 4 decades. His style traverses a wide variety of musical terrain, from acoustic guitar driven rock ballades to hard funky rhythms with high energy electric. He is currently performing his band the Dave Christian Project.

Martini Garden is a Long Island based band founded in 2005, their original music is a mix of Rock and roll blues, R & B jazz and country. The duo of Christine and Jim met their drummer, a neighbor, when they were playing their original music in the back yard. A year later the band Martini Garden was born. It can be a little tricky to play around consistently as an original band, but Jim kept writing music so they decided to go into the studio and record it. They have fun sharing and playing where they can as a full electric band or acoustic.

Dave Grube was born and bred on Long Island. He picked up a guitar and started singing as a wee lad and never stopped. As a singer-songwriter Dave Grube is hard to pin down. The musical map he is guided by is dog-eared and weather-beaten. With influences ranging from Lonesome Cowboy songs to the British Invasion, from Alt-country and Rhythm-&-Blues, Punk and No-Frills, to Doo-wop and Pop, his music strolls up city streets and rides the buckboard across the blue Prairie. A student of songwriting and music for most of his life, Dave has studied the classics both privately and at school and he has a unique understanding of Pop and contemporary songs. He has been a featured act at local nightclubs and theaters. He is an up-and-comer in the local music scene. If you would like to book Dave Grube for your venue please contact him at: email- davelawg@gmail.com
Debra Lynne is a singer songwriter born in New York City, and presently living in Long Island, New York. Debra started out playing classical piano at age 7, but took up the guitar when she realized that it wasn’t easy to carry a piano around to a campfire. Debra’s lyrics paint pictures of life, with her sweet stories about those she loves…and humorous ones about “the others”. Debra has been a dental hygienist, a college professor, a professional organizer, a poet, an artist, and a songwriter, but her favorite places to be are traveling, in the garden, and on a stage.
