Is It Fall Yet? Central Park’s Wollman Rink Reopens Saturday
It's 70 and sunny in New York City, but winter is coming – and in Central Park, that means ice skating (among other things).

CENTRAL PARK, NY – Wollman Rink will reopen for the 2024-2025 ice season on Saturday, Oct. 26, with a weekend-long celebration featuring free admission and a plethora of activites.
The weekend’s programming begins at 12 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday with a figure skating performance. Open skate follows, from 12:15 to 8 p.m. Free tickets may be reserved here for Saturday, and here for Sunday.
Complimentary skating lessons are available all weekend, and off the ice, there will also be face painting. A Halloween costume contest takes place on Saturday, with the winner receiving a season skate pass – typically $275 for adults.

Wollman Rink is open annually between October and March, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday; and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
General admission prices range from $15 to $38 for adults, to $10 for children and seniors, with skate rentals available for $12. A limited number of discounted tickets are available through Culture Pass and IDNYC.

The ice rink, which was once managed by the Trump Organization, has been operated by a joint venture between Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, Related Companies, and Equinox since 2021.
Wollman Rink is located near the Central Park Zoo, but on the other side of East Drive (toward Midtown and the Upper West Side).
