Trey Anastasio In Central Park: What You Need To Know

The Phish singer plays in the park on Friday.

CENTRAL PARK, NY – Trey Anastasio, best known as the lead singer of Phish, will be performing with his trio in Central Park on July 6th as part of the SummerStage concert series.

It’s already sold out but, if you’re lucky enough to have already snagged a ticket, here’s everything you need to know about the show:

The concert is scheduled to start at 6 p.m., but doors open at 5 p.m. Organizers recommend getting there as early as you can to claim a good spot.

SummerStage takes place in Rumsey Playfield towards the east side of Central Park near 71st street. The closest Metro stop is the 4/5/6 stop at 68th street and Lexington, then you’ll have to walk 11 minutes to the bandshell and enter the park at 69th and 5th Avenue. The M72 bus can drop you off right at that park entrance, then you’ll need to walk four minutes to the bandshell.


What you can bring:

Food (but clean up after yourself), a blanket, sunscreen, bug spray, plastic and reusable bottles, nonalcoholic beverages.


What you can’t bring:

Glass bottles, cans, coolers, alcoholic beverages, controlled substances, weapons, folding chairs, bikes, scooters, rollerblades, skateboards, beach umbrellas, laser pointers, video cameras, selfie sticks, cameras with 100MM+ lenses, pets and drones
