CHELSEA, NY - A 39-year-old woman saw her pricey necklace swiped from under her nose — literally — Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
The victim was walking in front of 215 West 17th St. about 5:11 p.m. when a male assailant forcibly removed the item from her neck, causing her to fall to the ground, police said.
The assailant then fled the area on a blue moped eastbound on West 17th Street, police said. The necklace is valued at about $960. The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention.
