Charity ChiliFest Returns To Chelsea: Here’s When
Admission gets you all-you-can-eat chili tastings, live music, outdoor games and a cash beer/wine bar. Here's how to attend:
CHELSEA, NY - Chelsea’s ChiliFest charity cook-off is coming back.
The annual competition featuring Chelsea Market chefs is scheduled for Nov. 11 from noon to 5 p.m. on 15th Street (between 9th and 10th avenues). 100 percent of ticket proceeds will go to charitable organizations selected by participating chefs, with the list of this year's organizations set to include S11 Chelsea, Hot Bread Kitchen, God’s Love We Deliver and City Harvest.
Admission includes all-you-can-eat chili tastings, live music from the Brooklyn Bluegrass Collective, outdoor games like corn hole and a cash beer and wine bar, plus three tokens to vote for your favorite chilis.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring ChiliFest back to Chelsea Market after such a positive reaction from the community when we started the event more than a decade ago,” said Jake Dickson, owner of Dickson’s Farmstand Meats who helped to launch ChiliFest's inaugural event in 2011.
“ChiliFest combines the best aspects of community, food, and charitable giving to create a vibrant celebration that benefits both individuals and the neighborhood as a whole.”

Participating Chelsea Market chefs include Jake Dickson from Dickson’s Farmstand Meats; Barbara Duarte from Hot Bread Kitchen; Harris Mayer-Selinger from Creamline; Jimmy Rizvi from Chote Miya; and Peter Tondteau and Victor Huang from Very Fresh Noodles. Neighboring chefs include Jared Howard from Honey Bunny’s Chicken; Leticia Skai Young-Mohan from Lolo’s Seafood Shack and Ken Baker from Rethink Food.
The winner will take home the Golden Chili Trophy, with the winning chef’s charity of choice set to receive a majority of the proceeds.
