Chelsea Church Robbed Of $10K In Cash, Valuables, Police Say
A church in Chelsea has been robbed of $10,000, according to police.

CHELSEA, NY — Police are searching for a robber who took an estimated $14,000 worth of valuables and cash from a Chelsea church, authorities say.
The robber, who police have not yet identified, entered the St. Columba Catholic Church on Aug. 18, police said. He walked into the church, located at 343 W. 25th St., through an unlocked door, and took two laptops, a computer monitor, a camera and $1,100 in cash before running, according to the NYPD. In total, the items were estimated to be worth around $10,000.
Police are still searching for the man responsible, they said.
