CHELSEA, NY - A Michael’s crafts store in Chelsea was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

The armed thief began stuffing merch into a bag at the Sixth Avenue store near West 21st Street about 4:20 p.m., police said.

The value or nature of the merchandise taken was not immediately available, police said.

The man fled the store after the arts-and-crafts grab, cops said. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
