Chelsea Pole Dancing Studio Stairwell Shooting Victim ID’d: NYPD
The Manhattan resident was found shot to death inside the dance studio stairwell about 5:30 a.m. Sunday morning, police said.

CHELSEA, NY - The identity of the man shot dead inside a Chelsea pole dancing studio stairwell Sunday morning has been released, authorities said.
Steven Mussington, 32, of Harlem, was found with a gunshot wound to his head inside 355 Seventh Avenue near 30th Street about 5:30 a.m., police said. Medics pronounced Mussington dead at the scene.
The shooting reportedly caused a frenzy at an after hours party at the Foxy Fitness and Pole Training Studios located inside the building, with naked dancers scurrying into the night following the shooting, a security guard told the New York Post.

The New York studio is closed until further notice, according to Foxy Fitness’ online calendar.
A request for comment from Patch was not immediately returned by a Foxy Fitness representative.

The search for the shooter is ongoing and no arrests have been made, police said. A suspect description was not made available Tuesday morning.
355 Seventh Avenue is home to a host of other businesses, including 99 Cent Rony’s Fresh Pizza and Respite Spa.
