Raunchy Chelsea Shop Robbed In Broad Daylight Wednesday: NYPD
Chelsea's 'Sexy Boutique' was robbed midday Wednesday by a knife-wielding thief who remains at large, authorities said.

CHELSEA, NY - A Chelsea sex shop was robbed at knifepoint midday Wednesday, authorities said.
A knife-wielding man entered Sexy Boutique at 155 Eighth Ave. about 1:35 p.m. and demanded money from the register, police said.
A 29-year-old store employee forked over about $300 from the register before the assailant fled on foot northbound on Eighth Avenue, police said.

The employee did not report any physical injuries as a result of the robbery, police said.

A Chelsea woman sued the sex shop in 2019, alleging the store clogged her basement with “raw sewage,” as well as diapers, condoms, rubber gloves and more, Gothamist reported.
