Chelsea's Olive Garden Has Closed
The Chelsea branch of Olive Garden closed its doors this month.

CHELSEA, NY — The Chelsea branch of Olive Garden closed earlier this month, meaning that those craving the chain restaurant's take on Italian food will have to trek to Times Square for an authentic tourist experience.
The Olive Garden in Chelsea closed on Feb. 4, according to signs outside the now shuttered space at 696 6th Ave. The Times Square location remains open, as does a new location that recently opened in Harlem.
Olive Garden's Chelsea location opened in 2003, and with the opening of other chain restaurants in New York City inspired this tepid review in the New York Times:

At Olive Garden, there is a tender, though tasteless, pork fillet and a tasty artichoke and spinach dip, but otherwise there is little good to say about the menu there, a shameful indictment for a company that owns a culinary institute and a restaurant in Tuscany. Do the Italians know about this?
