Elderly Man Attacked Near Union Square, Suspect At Large: NYPD
The 72-year-old man sustained internal injuries after he was punched and pushed into a cement pot in the attack, police said.

UNION SQUARE - A 72-year-old man was hospitalized after an attacker punched and pushed him into a cement pot near Union Square last month, authorities said.
The assault took place Sept. 27 about 1:45 p.m. near East 14th Street and Union Square West where the elderly man was walking, police said. A stranger went up to the man and proceeded to punch and push the victim, causing him to fall into a large cement flower pot.
The attacker fled the area on a two-wheeled vehicle, police said.

The victim was rushed to NYC Health & Hospitals/Bellevue where he was treated for internal injuries and pain, police said. He was listed in stable condition.
