FLATIRON DISTRICT, NY - A pedestrian suffered a fractured skull and other injuries after being hit by a Citi Bike cyclist in the Flatiron District Thursday morning, authorities said.

The victim was struck near 5th Avenue and East 21st Street, resulting in the head injury as well as a fractured right eye and bruising to the body, police said.

The cyclist fled the scene shortly thereafter, police said.

The subject is described as a man last seen wearing black shorts, white sneakers and black tee shirt.
