Man, 88, Hit On Head With 'Blunt Object' In Chelsea: NYPD

CHELSEA, NY - A woman clobbered an 88-year-old man with an unknown "blunt object" in Chelsea earlier this month, authorities said.

The hit took place at around 8:15 a.m. on Sept. 10 near 10th Avenue and West 26th Street, the New York City Police Department said.

The man was approached from behind by an unknown woman, who struck the victim on the head with the object and fled northbound on 10th Avenue, police said.

The victim was transported to an area hospital in stable condition, police said. The assailant is still at large.
