CHELSEA, NY - A 55-year-old man was assaulted with a metal scooter near The Edge in Hudson Yards Wednesday, police said.

The victim was standing at the intersection of West 34th Street and 10th Avenue about 3 p.m. when a pink backpack-wielding assailant punched him in the head and struck him with a metal scooter, police said.

The attacker then fled on the scooter southbound on 10th Avenue, police said. The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
