CHELSEA, NY -A man slapped a woman’s buttocks outside an AMC Theater in Chelsea last month, the New York City Police Department said Wednesday.

The man hit the 26-year-old woman in front of AMC 19th St. East 6 at 890 Broadway about 2:05 p.m. on Aug. 1, police said.

He then ran way toward 18th Street, police said. The woman suffered a minor injury and was treated by medics at the scene.

Police released a picture and description of the suspect Wednesday morning.

He is in his early 30s, stands at 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build, black hair and a beard.

He was last seen wearing a black Mets baseball hat, glasses with black frames, a black backpack, a blue t-shirt, black jogging pants and black sneakers.
