Man Shot Dead Inside Chelsea Building Sunday, NYPD Says

CHELSEA, NY - A man was found shot to death inside the stairwell of a a mixed-use building in Chelsea Sunday, authorities said.

The victim, a 32-year-old man, was found about 5:30 a.m. with a gunshot wound to his head inside of 355 7th Avenue near West 30 Street, police said.

Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene, police said. The search for the shooter is ongoing.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending family notification, police said.

355 7th Avenue is home to a host of businesses, including 99 Cent Rony’s Fresh Pizza, Foxy Fitness and Pole Training Studios and Respite Spa.
