Men Assaulted, Called N-Word In 2 Lower Manhattan Attacks: NYPD
The men were viciously beaten during the Chelsea and Lower East Side incidents Monday morning, police said.

CHELSEA, NY — A group of hatemongers pummeled two men and spat racial slurs at them in two separate Lower Manhattan incidents Monday just hours apart, police said.
The first incident unfolded at 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Seventh Avenue and W. 26th Street in Chelsea when three white men got into an argument with a 27-year-old man, cops said.
One of the suspects shouted a racial slur at the man as another grabbed a metal garbage bin and flung it at the victim, breaking his jaw. Medics rushed the man to Lenox Hill Hospital, authorities said.

A second assault came less than two hours later at 4:15 a.m. at the intersection of Allen and Rivington streets in the Lower East Side where a 27-year-old, Hispanic man was walking when he got into an argument with a group of six white people, three men and three women, police said.
One of the suspects called the man the n-word before he and another man unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks on the man while shouting racial slurs, cops said.
