Men Robbed At Gunpoint Near Union Square Wednesday: NYPD
A gun-wielding duo robbed two men near Union Square Park late Wednesday night, authorities said.

FLATIRON DISTRICT, NY - A gun-wielding duo robbed two men near Union Square Park late Wednesday night, authorities said.
The 33- and 37-year-old victims were approached by the assailants from behind about 11 p.m. in front of the Chase Bank at 230 Park Avenue South near 19th Street, police said.
The assailants demanded the victims’ bag, wallet, watch and AirPods, police said.

The suspects then fled the location heading northbound on Park Avenue South.
The victims didn’t report any physical injuries as a result of the incident.

As of Thursday, New York City has 13,452 reported robbery incidents so far in 2023, according to city data. That's down about 5.1% from the same time the previous year.
In the 13th precinct where the robbery took place, police have seen 147 robbery incidents so far in 2023. That’s compared to 157 reported this time last year.
