New Poster Art Museum To Open In Chelsea
A new museum coming to Chelsea in 2018 will be dedicated exclusively to poster art.

CHELSEA, NY — A new museum set to open in Chelsea next year will feature poster art, drawing posters from throughout the history and featuring them in a gallery setting.
The new museum, Poster House, will feature both mundane and the beautiful. There will be hundreds of posters included in the display, dating from the 1880s through the present. Poster House is set to open in late 2018 at 119 West 23rd St., the Wall Street Journal was first to report. The museum's founders will launch a month long pop-up exhibit in the space in September before launching an extensive renovation to create the gallery. According to the Journal, those renovations will cost about $6 million to prepare the $15,000 square foot space.
