UNION SQUARE, NY - A 24-year-old woman was robbed and sexually assaulted while waiting for a northbound N train Sunday, police said.

The attacker grabbed the victim’s breast on the N platform inside the Union Square station about 3:25 a.m. before sticking his hand down her pants and grabbed “her intimate parts,” police said. He then forced the victim to the ground, slammed her head to the ground and continued to fondle her.

It was only after a good Samaritan intervened that the subject fled with the victim’s cell phone. The victim was later treated at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center.

The assailant is described as a man about 40 years old standing at six feet and weighing 160 pounds with short black hair. He was last seen wearing dark colored clothing.
