CHELSEA, NY — The Team Senior Planet organization is offering a free fitness and technology course for adults aged 60 and older to help seniors learn how to use a FitBit when tracking their exercise levels. Registration for the program began Tuesday, and the next program spans from Oct. 3 to Dec. 12.
"Participants do a mix of aerobic, low-impact and strength training exercises, and learn how to use the Fitbit to track their moves and heart rate," the course description says.
Here's what you'll need to enroll: you'll need to feel comfortable working with computers, have a membership to the NYC Parks Recreation Centers ($25 per year), and a doctor's note is recommended. All fitness levels are welcome.
