Chelsea Car Crash Leaves 2 Seriously Hurt, FDNY Says

Five people were injured, two of them in seriously, in a car crash early Wednesday morning, according to the fire department.

CHELSEA, NY — Two people were seriously injured in an early-morning car crash in Chelsea, according to the fire department.

Two cars collided into each other early on Wednesday morning near the intersection of W 23rd Street and Seventh Avenue, an FDNY spokeswoman said. The crash was reported to the fire department at about 1:21 a.m., she said.

Three other people suffered non-life threatening injuries in the accident, the spokeswoman said. All five people were transported to Bellevue hospital for treatment. Updates on their conditions were not immediately available on Wednesday morning.

The NYPD did not immediately have additional information on the crash on Wednesday morning.
