COMMACK, NY — Residents within the boundaries of the Commack School District on Tuesday voted to pass the 2022-23 school budget by a margin of 2,393 votes to 815.
The district's budget is $214,645,327 up 4.64 percent from last year's.
School board incumbents Steven Hartman and Justin Varughese both won re-election. Hartman defeated Pauline Fidalgo by 2,277 votes to 877, while Varughese beat Jurkovich by a measure of 2,247 votes to 893.
